Neos Voutzas is located northeast in the basin of Attica, at the 26th kilometer, and borders north with Nea Makri and south with Rafina.
It covers an area of 2,000 acres, with part of it administratively belonging to Nea Makri and the rest to Rafina. It has an elevation of 119 meters above sea level, which is one of the reasons for the unparalleled view it offers over the Euboean Gulf from almost all parts of the area.
The settlement was founded by refugees from Voutzas of Smyrna, while the land belonged to the Monastery of Dauti Penteli and was purchased in 1952 by the Neos Voutzas construction cooperative. The present settlement, continuing the path of the old settlement, is located in an area of exceptional beauty, with
elegant houses and well-maintained communal areas. It features sports facilities, a tennis team, a bridge team, a chess team, and a high school in the municipality of Nea Makri.
It is located 40 km from the center of Athens, 6 km from the port of Rafina, 20 km from Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, and 10 km from the entrance to the Attiki Odos at Pikermi. It is a purely residential area, with permanent and holiday homes.
