Location: Kypseli is one of the beautiful neighborhoods of the city and one of the most interesting places to live in Athens. It borders to the west with Patision Street, to the south with Pedion tou Areos, to the east with Attiko Alsos, and to the north with the municipality of Galatsi.
Distinctive features: The main attraction of Kypseli is the pedestrian street of Fokionos Negri, consisting of a large green strip in the center, with trees, benches, fountains, and statues, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops. A characteristic example of Athenian modernism on Fokionos Negri is the Municipal Market, recently renovated, a space for artistic events and crafts. Agiou Georgiou Square is another popular spot in the city, surrounded by small cafes and taverns. The Pedion tou Areos, one of the largest public parks in Athens, holds a prominent place in the residents' lives, as does the Hill of Helikon which includes sports facilities and the Attiko Alsos in Ano Kypseli. Additionally, there are many small theaters and artist studios in the area, giving it a bohemian feel.
Accessibility: A dense network of buses connects many areas with Kypseli. The train station at Victoria Square is nearby, while four stations of the new metro line are under construction.
