Dioni is an area at the boundaries of the former Pikermi community of Attica and the current Rafina-Pikermi municipality. It is one of the emerging regions of Mesogeia, with significant construction activity. It is a purely residential area consisting mainly of detached houses and maisonettes, as the construction of apartment buildings is prohibited. It borders Pikermi, Drafi, and Kallitechnoupoli. In very close proximity to the settlement, there are modern sports facilities of Pikermi, as well as a local bus serving local distances. The distance from the settlement to the center of Pikermi is about 3 minutes by car and 10 minutes to Pallini where the suburban railway station towards Athens or the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is located. The entrance to the Attiki Odos is 5 km away, next to which we find one of the largest shopping centers in Attica, McArthurGlen, which attracts and serves people from many areas of the Basin. Dioni is located in a key location and in close proximity to the second largest port of Attica, which is Rafina. The Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos is also approximately 15 minutes away from the area.
