Elegant Captain's House in Lindos

Lindos, one of the ancient city/states of exceptional beauty and tradition which over the centuries has been the centre of historical events. In typical Lindian style, this masterpiece was created incorporating hand carved stone with 15th. century influences intended to blend in with the natural surroundings and azure blue sea. This Captain’s house consists of a large sala (sitting room) with the local style Kamara (arch) includes a stone fireplace and Lindian wooden beds named “pakgas” that can sleep 4 guests. Two bedrooms, one with office space and wood burner, two bathrooms and a kitchen can be found on the ground floor and an additional bedroom on the first floor. The roof top terrace, nestled under the Acropolis, can be accessed by the narrow stone staircase winding up from the pebble stone courtyard. Local architectural tradition always involves the element of differentiation as an expression of the identity of a particular place.
