A Woman’s Matter

Captivating, uncompromising, and multifaceted, with unparalleled aesthetics - women who never lose their uniqueness and radiate unmatched dynamism. Natalia Georgala designs the WOERA signature pieces created especially for them.

She loves the color white - and often wears it, pairing it with black as a lover of contrasts - because she sees it as a canvas on which she can create.

She also enjoys working with poplin, the fabric that has become WOERA’s signature. "I find it extremely interesting how the small details in its weave can influence the final result of a shirt."

Of course, she loves silk just as much - for its softness and unparalleled elegance. Natalia Georgala aims to evolve WOERA into a lifestyle brand of international standards, clearly inspired by the men’s wardrobe, yet at the same time positioned as a means of expression - a statement of confidence.

Miuccia Prada has always been - and remains - an unconscious role model for her

She admires the way Prada bridges the traditional with the progressive - deeply respecting her authentic voice and feminist perspective. At the same time, she has always been impressed by the work of Cristóbal Balenciaga.

He possessed a unique ability to create garments distinguished by their innovation and architectural construction. Similarly, she is drawn to mid-century design and the work of pioneer Richard Neutra, admiring his ability to create spaces that combine simplicity, functionality, and harmony with the natural environment.

For her, however, inspiration is not confined to these references - it is everywhere: in her father’s wardrobe, in old photographs, in cinema, and in the women she encounters in her daily life.

When she is at the office designing, she enjoys listening to Sade, Elton John, Bill Withers, and Barry White. Diligent, persistent, and determined, her favorite motto remains a quote by Winston Churchill: Success is not final, failure is not fatal - it is the courage to continue that counts.

It all began with the idea of the timeless elegance of an effortlessly beautiful - precisely because it is timeless - perfectly tailored shirt.

"The idea was born about six years ago, through conversations with my partner - now also my business partner - about where I could find the perfect boyfriend shirt, adapted to the female silhouette.

Seeing that my needs were not adequately met by the market, I decided to create it myself."

It is a magical feeling to see your creations come to life, especially in an era where diversity becomes a source of empowerment.

"Another milestone was when our products entered Selfridges in London. That department store holds sentimental value for me, as I used to visit it as a student to find inspiration. The girl I was back then is very proud.

Of course, continuous growth and a constant desire to learn are the keys to success, and I feel the journey is still long. Until then, I hold on to the two most important lessons I have learned as the head of a company: Always trust my instinct. And choose my collaborators with the same care I would choose a life partner - they can literally build or destroy everything you have created."

Faithful to the belief that high aesthetics today - more than ever before - inherently include ethics, every decision she makes follows thorough sustainability research.

"Prioritizing exceptional raw materials and a careful, local production process - combined with timeless design - is essential."

Starting from a borrowed men’s shirt somewhere in New York, and playing with the name she chose for her brand, we ask whether she believes we are ultimately living in a women’s era - Women’s Era, WOERA.

"We are still far from the ideal, as Gloria Steinem describes it - the challenges remain many. However, seeing the progress and the growing solidarity among women today makes me quite optimistic about the future."

Having studied Fashion Business & Trend Forecasting and having already built a loyal online community, it was almost inevitable that Natalia Georgala would effortlessly score match points in the fashion industry with WOERA.
