Grutti is a small umbrian village located at an altitude of approximately 506 metres, nestled on the Petroniano Plateau in the municipality of Gualdo Cattaneo. Its location, among rolling hills adorned with vineyards and olive groves, offers sweeping views of the surrounding countryside and places it in a central area of Umbria, ideal for reaching some of its most famous destinations. From here, Perugia is about 39 kilometres to the north, less than forty minutes by car, while Todi is a short distance away, just over the crest of a few hills. Spoleto and Assisi, both rich in art and history, are easily accessible in less than an hour by car, as is Orvieto, further south, famous for its cathedral. This central location makes Grutti a perfect starting point for exploring the region, without sacrificing the tranquillity of a small town. For those travelling by plane, the nearest airport is Perugia's “San Francesco d'Assisi” airport, about 50 kilometres away, connected to the city and reachable in just over an hour by car. Further away but well served by transport links are the international airports of Rome, about 170 kilometres away, and Florence, just over 170 kilometres away.
