Description

The Castle of Casalappi is a real estate complex of historical and architectural value, nestled between the Tuscan countryside and the sea of the Etruscan Riviera, since 700 AD. The property consists of a large park of 3.5 hectares with centuries-old trees and an olive grove, which frames a property complex divided into buildings of various eras and uses, counting 2,850 square meters. The main part of the property is an ancient medieval castle with a panoramic tower that offers views up to the sea and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago such as Elba and Montecristo. A highly prized architectural feature is the ancient cellar with cross vaults (former religious building) located on the ground floor. Within the property, accessible from four independent entrance roads, there are a consecrated church, an ancient oil mill, and various outbuildings. The recovery of the property complex offers two distinct solutions such as a residential and tourist/receptive destination or, if combined with the development of a farm, the creation of a high-level agritourism.

Location: Casalappi, Tuscany

Situated on a hill overlooking the sea and the surrounding countryside, Campiglia Marittima is one of the most beautiful villages of the Val di Cornia and the Costa degli Etruschi. In this historic medieval village, rich in history and tradition, the streets, cobblestone alleys, and buildings arranged in concentric semicircles contribute to creating a harmonious atmosphere. Artisan shops, museums, and typical taverns overlook its characteristic squares. The small village opens into a silhouette of gulfs, promontories, and islands; the landscape paints a beautiful picture of the marine reserve between the Argentario Promontory and the Gulf of Baratti with a splendid view of the Tuscan Archipelago and, when the sky is clear, extends to the coasts of northern Corsica. A hamlet of the municipality of Campiglia Marittima is Venturina, renamed Venturina Terme in 2014 for the importance of its thermal activities. Campiglia Marittima is about an hour from Livorno, 15 minutes from Piombino, from whose port you can easily reach the Island of Elba, 10 minutes from Suvereto, and 20 minutes from Bolgheri, considered two of the most beautiful Italian villages.
