Typical house in the painted Hamlet

In the characteristic central alleyway of the hamlet, under a stone arch one notices the old front door in chestnut wood, entrance to the property, which dates back to the 1700s, and next to it a typical slate seat, where in the past women, after a long day’s work in the fields would sit on summer nights and chat with their neighbours. On entry one is welcomed by the cosiness of the kitchen, next there is a large double bedroom with bright windows which overlook the green valley below and an even brighter study, which could be turned either into a living room or an extra bedroom. A bathroom completes the floor. The original old slate staircase leads to the second floor and nto the sun-drenched living room, from which there is access to the fantastic terrace which dominates the valley, with a view overlooking the olive groves which stretches down to the sea. Absolute peace and quiet, as well as being completely immersed in nature are the highlights of the terrace, an ideal place where one can relax while reading or sunbathing, and in the evenings, dine under the stars. Tranquility, nature and homeliness are all defining characteristics of this hamlet, where everyone knows each other and especially in the summer, everybody parties together.
