The historic and listed Kronenhaus was built between 1902 and 1904 according to the plans of the prominent Düsseldorf architect Hermann vom Endt. In the style of modernized historicism with Art Nouveau ornamentation, it, along with the still-existing neighboring building, framed the entrance to the former Kronensaal, which served as a community center and was destroyed during World War II.
