Sencelles is a municipality in the centre of Mallorca and consists of several urban centres such as Biniali, and the "llogarets" of Ruberts, Jornets, Judi, and Cascanar Laiar, which have a special charm for those who admire rural and peaceful life. It has more than 3,500 inhabitants and holds its weekly market on Wednesdays in the Plaça Nova, and on Saturday mornings in the Plaça de la Vila. Its lands form part of the wine-growing region of Binissalem. You can find different wine cellars, such as "Celler Can Ramis", which produce and sell their own wine. The cellars of "Son Prim '' are open to the public and you can taste their own harvests. Another great attraction of the village is the many archaeological sites that can be found in the village, among them the cave of the bishop's field, the sanctuary of Son Corró and others. The village is known for the figure of Sister Francinaina Cirer, who was beatified in 1989. And in her birth house, the convent of the Sisters of Charity, the elements from when she lived there (18th-19th century) are still preserved. It is very well connected with the rest of the towns, and about 30 minutes from the centre of Palma, the airport and the beaches.
