The Costa Vicentina represents a different Algarve, where unspoiled nature has a strong and wild character, giving landscapes of dazzling grandeur. This area is part of a natural park that starts in the north in southwestern Alentejo and has the largest stretch of the Portuguese coast under protection. Beaches follow one another, sometimes with long stretches of sand to lose sight of, or small enclaves, framed by large cliffs of shale and limestone. The sea, agitated, produces a natural symphony, which serves as a soundtrack for this walk by the sea. Here we find uncrowded beaches, some almost deserted with little known access or other beaches to discover among the cliffs covered with vegetation, which here and there offer us fabulous panoramas on this steep coast. Beaches often offer good conditions for surfing and boogie boarding in the west and snorkeling in the south. Everywhere, brightly colored flower fields surround the roads that lead to these exclusive spaces.
