The Olivais parish, in terms of access, its greatest asset is its proximity to the Encarnação Metro station. In this quiet, serene and peaceful neighborhood, it is very common to see children playing in the Vale do Silêncio Park or elderly people talking by the market. A typically residential neighborhood, with a strong component of services and public utilities and endowed with many green areas. Once a destination for the bourgeoisie and industry, which occupied the land with its farms and factories, today the Olivais district is characterized by vast residential areas mixed with wide green areas, and the central pole of services Spacio Shopping. In the 1960s, this area was part of a large-scale urban operation, integrated in the expansion strategies of the city of Lisbon, following the success of the Alvalade neighborhood.
