At a short distance, you can find the charming fishing villages of Alvor with its beatiful sandy beaches and its famous golfs such as Penina Golf. Portimão, the largest city in the Western Algarve with all the infrastuctures is as well at short distance. It was once a place where boat building, sardine fishing and fish processing accounted for most of the city's activity.
