Schönberg im Stubaital is a rural community at the entrance to the Stubaital. Located at around 1026 m above sea level, Schönberg is known as a holiday resort, less than ten minutes from the state capital Innsbruck. Numerous hiking, mountain or e-bike routes lead from Schönberg to the rear of the Stubaital, to the hamlet of Gleins and to the neighboring Wipptal. The Serles lifts in the neighboring town of Mieders are open in winter (for skiing, winter hiking and cross-country skiing) and summer (hiking and summer toboggan run). Opposite in Telfes you will find the Stubay leisure center and the Schlick 2000. The Stubai Glacier invites winter and summer sports enthusiasts all year round. There is a kindergarten, doctors, a Spar grocery store, a bank and various guesthouses and hotels in the village.
