Baden - Our district capital

Baden center - heart and artery of the spa town

Nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, "Baden Zentrum" is characterized by its diverse historical and cultural offerings, such as the municipal theater, the summer arena, museums and the Cinema Paradiso arthouse cinema.

The well-kept pedestrian zone, which stretches through large parts of the city center, with its well-stocked stores, coffee houses, pastry shops and restaurants, is a central meeting point and strolling zone for Baden residents, spa guests and tourists. The Baden thermal baths are also worth a special mention as a top recreation area with a wide range of fitness facilities.

At the foot of the magnificent and spacious Kurpark, magnificent palaces and old apartments from the Biedermeier period stand next to modern residential buildings. A particular eye-catcher in the Kurpark is the historic Congress Casino; the largest of its kind in Europe, it offers plenty of space for events and functions in its traditional ambience.

All facilities for daily needs are within walking distance, numerous attractive shopping opportunities, the exquisite gastronomic offer and the popular Green Market ensure a variety of experiences and convenient everyday life. Baden is well connected to Vienna and the airport by bus, train and road (e.g. A2 and B17).

The excellent infrastructure, the mild climate, the geographical location and the cosmopolitan charm of the city of Baden are proof that urban and nature-loving life are perfectly compatible.

Leesdorf - an old district with young residents

After Baden city center, Leesdorf is the oldest district of the spa town. Over time, Leesdorf has developed into a sought-after residential area for all generations. Due to its practical accessibility and good infrastructure, this region is particularly popular with young families.

Leesdorf is a perfect combination of the flair and charm of imperial architecture and contemporary buildings. Daily needs can be taken care of on foot in no time at all, as a wide range of shopping facilities invite you to store in the village.

In addition to the district administration of Baden, the regional hospital, churches and sports fields/halls, numerous educational institutions (kindergartens, elementary school, vocational schools, teacher training college) are also located here. The historic harness racing track is also located on the outskirts of Pfaffstätten.

Extensive cycling and hiking trails provide an ideal link to sports, leisure and recreational activities.

Braiten - popular view of the countryside

With its combination of views of the countryside and excellent transport links, Braiten has developed into a very popular residential area. The proximity to the center of Baden with its diverse cultural and shopping opportunities invites young and old to visit the popular pedestrian zone. At the same time, Braiten is a quiet, green area that blends harmoniously into the natural landscape.

Kindergartens and schools are within easy reach, as are sports and leisure facilities. Plots of land, detached and terraced houses and apartments are very popular with families, as they offer plenty of scope for relaxation. The good connection to the A2 motorway as well as public transport links to Vienna and Wiener Neustadt ensure quick access to work and leisure.

The idyllic vineyards offer many leisure activities such as hiking or cycling. A visit to a wine tavern is a great way to enjoy conviviality with local delicacies and good wine. The area in and around Baden is characterized in particular by viticulture, which has been cultivated since Roman times and today produces world-famous wines.

Weikersdorf, Rauenstein & Gamingerhof

The districts of Weikersdorf, Rauhenstein and Gamingerhof, better known as "Römerberg", are located in the west of Baden. The green slopes of the Vienna Woods, the sight of the mighty castle ruins of Rauheneck and Rauhenstein and the seemingly endless vineyards make Römerberg a highly sought-after, yet still tranquil residential area.

Here you will not only find the unique Rosarium with the Renaissance castle of Weikersdorf, the historic Baden lido with its large sandy beaches and extensive park for ball sports, but also high-quality restaurants, shopping facilities, schools, kindergartens and a wide range of health services. Numerous sports and excursion options in the immediate vicinity provide a perfect complement to the diverse cultural program of the city of Baden.

Turn-of-the-century villas and new-build architecture - harmonious and quiet

Mostly in very quiet locations, you will find pretty detached houses and neatly designed residential complexes for singles, couples or families, as well as beautiful classic turn-of-the-century villas next to modern new-build architecture. Many of the locations are characterized by fantastic distant views.

Be inspired by this enchanting district of Baden if you want to live in a tranquil setting close to nature, yet in a city with the best infrastructure, a wide range of cultural activities and excellent connections to the capital.

The charming Bad Vöslau outdoor pool impresses with its natural surroundings, its extraordinary cabins - which are also suitable for living in - and its extensive cultural program during the summer months.

The former worsted yarn factory is also popular and well-known. Parts of the site have been revitalized and rented out as office, commercial or storage space or as surgeries or similar. The factory area is known as the Vöslauer Kammgarnzentrum, a creative and event center.

The town has something to offer for every age group: Sports facilities, art and culture, playgrounds, educational and health facilities. And all this in the local recreation area just outside Vienna. In addition to the inner-city retail businesses, Bad Vöslau has a well-frequented specialist market and business center on the outskirts of the town.

Families looking for property in the green outskirts of Vienna particularly appreciate the quiet locations of the town.

Due to its historical development in the 19th century and its connection with the Krupp family, owners of a metal goods factory known for its Berndorf cutlery, it is also known as the Krupp town.

Here you will find the unique style classes of the elementary and secondary school, the municipal theater, built in the style of Vienna's Ringstrasse architecture, where annual festivals are held, as well as the "Krupp Stadt Museum Berndorf".

Nature enthusiasts can enjoy the nature trail on the local mountain "Guglzipf" as well as the numerous cycling and hiking trails.

Some very special sights, such as the Gothic Enzesfeld hospital church, the parish church of St. Magareten, the Lindabrunn branch church or the fairytale Enzesfeld Castle from the 12th century make excursions in this area something special.

Both the proximity to nature and good transport connections make Enzesfeld-Lindabrunn a place with a high quality of life.

Heiligenkreuz

The term "hill country" in the middle of the Vienna Woods may be debatable, but the green location in the middle of the special natural and cultural landscape of the Vienna Woods is certainly not. The municipality of Heiligenkreuz and its villages of Füllenberg, Preinsfeld, Sattelbach and Siegenfeld definitely have one thing in common: pure nature.

And the almost 2,000 inhabitants of Heiligenkreuz particularly appreciate this: many nature lovers get their money's worth here. Countless leisure, hiking, sports and nature observation opportunities are right on the doorstep.

Not to mention the convenience of the convenient location for many people who prefer a quick connection to the highway and Vienna.

The Cistercian monastery Heiligenkreuz, which houses the Leopoldinum seminary here, is of course also well known far beyond the borders.

Klausen-Leopoldsdorf

A sprawling municipality with many small villages in almost untouched nature and a nearby highway connection make this place an insider tip. You can be in Vienna in half an hour and yet live in the middle of the green, refreshing forest. In summer, the Schwechat river and forest regions of the Kleinmariazell forest and the Vienna Woods provide freshness. In winter it can still be really rustic here. Whether Hochstraß, the Lammerau or Klausen-Leopoldsdorf itself, you can find peace and relaxation here.

The wild and romantic pond landscape, the Wiener Neustadt Canal, the outstanding cultural scene and the Kottingbrunn wineries, which are known far beyond the borders, offer something for everyone.

The sports on offer range from horse riding, tennis, golf, asphalt stick shooting, jiu-jitsu and fishing to cycling and running routes.

Kottingbrunn is aware of its past and tradition and is making every effort to build on this tradition.

Leobersdorf

Leobersdorf lies in the foothills of the Triestingtal valley on the edge of the Thermenregion. Over the years, the village has established itself as a very popular community for young families. Above all, the excellent infrastructure, the wide range of educational opportunities and numerous sports and leisure facilities attract almost 4,900 residents.

The educational opportunities in the municipality of Leobersdorf range from several kindergartens to an elementary school, a new secondary school and a music school. In the nearby towns of Berndorf and Baden, children have the opportunity to attend a grammar school or a higher secondary school.

With the steady growth of the municipality, the connection to the A2 motorway and the public transport network has been expanded to offer residents a wide range of opportunities. Leobersdorf should not be underestimated as a business location either. Numerous companies are located in the ARED Park and provide excellent job opportunities.

If you are looking for the tranquillity of nature but still appreciate the diversity of a town, Leobersdorf is the perfect place for you. Families with children can enjoy the newly created Generation Park on the Triestingbach. Located directly between the Triesting and vineyards, the park invites young and old to linger. A swimming pool with a spacious wellness area, several sports facilities, a wonderful network of cycle paths and the LEUM (Light Museum) complete the offer. The people of Leobersdorf even know how to celebrate! The municipality has its own event center, which is ideal for lavish celebrations. In addition, numerous events provide variety throughout the year.

Oberwaltersdorf

With its proximity to the federal capital and the cultural city of Baden, Oberwaltersdorf offers excellent connections for all those who are looking to be close to the big city without being subject to its rhythm. Located directly on the Triesting River in the Vienna Basin, Oberwaltersdorf offers a wide range of opportunities.

Daily necessities can be easily obtained on foot. Four kindergartens are available for childcare. An elementary school, a new secondary school, a grammar school and two private schools in the neighboring municipality of Ebreichsdorf round off the educational options for pupils.

Leisure activities are also very varied in this charming municipality: In addition to popular sports facilities, both on sports fields and in the nearby recreational areas, golf at the exclusive Fontana Golf Club and, of course, equestrian sports at the nearby Magna Racino are also very popular.

The listed Oberwaltersdorf train station also ensures good public transport connections to Vienna. It takes around 20 minutes by car to get to the city limits of Vienna and 10 minutes to Baden.

Pottendorf

The independent market town of Pottendorf unites the cadastral communities of Landegg, Siegersdorf and Wampersdorf and connects Lower Austria with the diverse Burgenland.

Pottendorf is a friendly, rural community with around 7500 inhabitants and great sights. The castle, now Pottendorf Palace, was built around 1090 and was the heart of the village for a long time, but the parish church from the early 18th century also adorns the townscape in Pottendorf. The family-friendly Neufeldersee lake is just a few minutes away and its crystal-clear water and clean beaches turn every visit into a little vacation.

Thanks to its convenient location near the A3, you can reach the city limits of Vienna in 30 minutes and be in Baden, Eisenstadt or on the Hungarian border in no time at all. The Pottendorf railroad line provides a good public connection to Vienna and Wr.Neustadt.

Sooß

Sooß stands for idyll, romance and, of course, wine. The small village with just under 1,000 inhabitants is located south of the spa town of Baden. Embedded in the surrounding vineyards and the foothills of the Vienna Woods, Sooß captivates with its very individual charm. Thanks to its active winegrowers and residents, there is always something going on in Sooß.

The neighboring communities of Baden and Bad Vöslau are practically on the doorstep, providing an optimal infrastructure that leaves nothing to be desired.

Sooß is indeed a place to live for many families, young and old, and no longer just for wine lovers.

Tattendorf

For generations, the municipality of Tattendorf has stood out as a traditional wine village with an international reputation that precedes it.

Tattendorf boasts an excellent infrastructure as well as several schools and kindergartens. Numerous events offer a rich entertainment program for young and old.

The favorable climate and special soil conditions led people to start cultivating fine vines centuries ago - and like the wine, the village also matured and is now considered a pearl of the Thermenregion, around half an hour south of Vienna.

Traiskirchen

In recent years, Traiskirchen has developed into a town with a very high quality of life in the "bacon belt" of Vienna.

Its central location and comprehensive infrastructure (local suppliers, service providers, post office, pharmacy, doctors, schools, kindergartens, sports and leisure facilities) make Traiskirchen a highly sought-after residential area for people who want to be happy close to the big city of Vienna but in the countryside.

The ideal connection to the public transport network via the A2, the B17, the ÖBB and the Badener Bahn has also contributed to this.

Traiskirchen has also rightly made a name for itself as a social town with high social standards for all generations: e.g. a very well-developed network of child and senior care and educational facilities.

The idyllic vineyards on the slopes of the Anninger and the bird paradise in the Schwechat floodplains are a popular local recreation area for young and old and are particularly worthy of protection.

Speaking of vineyards: many people also appreciate Traiskirchen as a place of cultivated wine tavern culture and come to the annual wine festival in July, which takes place in the protected city park.

Business is also doing well in Traiskirchen: The Traiskirchen business park has been created on the site of the former Semperit plant and is home to almost 66 companies with around 700 employees. A second business park is located near the city access road in Oeynhausen.

Tribuswinkel

As a cadastral municipality of Traiskirchen with a direct connection to the town of Baden, the small village of Tribuswinkel with its approximately 3,500 inhabitants lacks almost nothing. The optimal infrastructure with local suppliers, schools, medical care and much more make Tribuswinkel a perfect family home for many.

Particularly noteworthy is the castle, which dates back to the 11th century and is now used as an event center, with its large castle park, which has been declared a natural monument. An absolute eye-catcher: the huge plane tree in the castle's forecourt.

Not forgetting the peaceful location directly on the Schwechat. The saying that nature is on your doorstep certainly applies here.

Trumau

The market town of Trumau in the district of Baden with its approx. 3000 inhabitants is located in the southern Vienna Woods on the Triesting and is a well-known wine-growing town.

The numerous cozy wine taverns and wine taverns serve excellent wines.

There are easy, flat routes for family-friendly cycling and long walks in the green countryside. Hiking trails and riding routes also lead nature lovers through the varied Vienna Woods.

Great characters have left behind important secular and ecclesiastical buildings in Trumau, which still tell their story to enthusiastic visitors today.

The nearby A3 Südostautobahn highway provides easy access to Baden, Vienna and Eisenstadt.
