This area is mainly the Patisia of the ancient Athenians. They extend from about 3.5 to 5 kilometers north of the historic center. They belong to the Municipality of Athens, of which they occupy the northern edge. In Ano Patisia there are many clothing and shoe stores, famous ouzo bars, well-known beer bars. At the end of Patisia there are many pastry shops, for which it is famous. It has easy access to public transportation, such as buses and the Ano Patisia electric railway, as well as many options for social life and entertainment.
