Prestigious Liberty Villa in Venice Lido

The villa built in 1905 by the famous Venetian architect Guido Costante Sullam, is considered a true architectural jewel. Today, although its appearance has been transformed by subsequent interventions, it retains all its charm: it has an articulated plan, characterised by the constant connection between indoor and outdoor spaces through the wide balustrades, terraces and balconies that occupy more than half of the villa's perimeter, such as the spectacular terrace that opens into an elegant double staircase towards the inner garden. Exterior decorative elements include enamelled ceramics, large polychrome windows and wrought iron with geometric/floreal motifs. The interior is just as unusual, with the rooms communicating with each other thanks to a particular play of light and reflections filtered through the coloured glass windows and an oval-shaped hall opening onto the surrounding rooms, among which the large living area and the elegant dining room with bow window stand out for their charm. The very special central staircase, characterised by the ornamental motif of the balustrade, as well as by the two lampposts placed at the ends of the gallery, the capitals of the slender wooden columns with chiaroscuro pictorial decorations, also present on the coffered ceiling, finally leads to the area currently occupied by the large bedrooms.
