Between August and September, in particular, the Lido comes alive with the events surrounding the famous Venice Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the world, which annually hosts the most famous actors and directors of the seventh art in the Palazzo del Cinema.
The Venice Film Festival gives international prominence to La Serenissima and especially to the Lido, with its Art Nouveau architecture, green parks and the famous Santa Maria Elisabetta Promenade, which runs the entire length of the Lido from the lagoon to the sea.
