What does a real estate assistant do?

As a supporting role, your work in this position will be important and varied. As part of the real estate assistant job description, you will take on some professional office management tasks, such as coordinating appointments and correspondence, answering calls and relaying messages. You may take part of the sales process and create presentations and marketing plans.

As well as aiding others, you will have your own personal tasks and projects to work on as well. These may include making and maintaining property inventories and profiles for the website or writing marketing copy. Many real estate assistants also help with social media and the company's online presence and therefore are part of the face of the agency as well as its inner workings.

In delivering contracts and even attending some closings unsupervised, many real estate assistants are able to work alone with clients and therefore build professional relationships and a connection base.
