Arlberg! Immediately you have paradisiacal snow conditions, glittering powder snow, the unbelievable expanse of one of the most beautiful, most extensive and most famous ski areas in the world! The Arlberg is known as the cradle of alpine skiing because the first ski club in the Alps was founded here and Austria's first cable car designed purely for winter sports was built! With 88 ski lifts, 305 km of perfectly groomed pistes and 200 km of deep snow runs, the Arlberg ski area is now the largest contiguous ski area in Austria and the fifth largest in the world.
However, the region in and around Pettneu does not only offer this variety in winter, also in summer there are countless dreamlike bike and mountain tours that invite you to pleasurable experiences that you can not only dream about all year round, but live and enjoy them every day! Pettneu am Arlberg is a municipality with almost 1500 inhabitants in the district of Landeck in the state of Tyrol and is located at 1220 m above sea level at the foot of the Arlberg near the border to Vorarlberg, only 7 km from St. Anton (excellent infrastructure with its own train station). The history of Pettneu goes back to 1376. In addition to all shopping facilities for daily needs, as well as restaurants and hotels, Pettneu has a kindergarten and its own elementary school and even its own doctor with a pharmacy. There is also a wellness park with indoor pool and wellness area with a wide variety of applications.
Pettneu is 230 km from Munich, 289 km from Stuttgart and 92 km from Innsbruck.
