As the name implies, the land register charge is payable upon entry into the Land Register.
The cantons and the municipalities stipulate these costs individually, which again results in sometimes quite large differences. While the amount of the Land Register charge is usually determined by the sale price, some cantons estimate the time expenditure. Overall, you can reckon on average additional costs of up to 0.5 % of the sale price.
This charge is generally divided between purchaser and vendor.
