Alella: Location and surroundings of this property
This property is located in the urbanization Mas Coll, a prestigious neighbourhood in the mountainous area of Alella, a municipality with a lot of village charm and tradition.
This area, so coveted by many, is only 15 km from the centre of Barcelona via the C32 or B20 motorway and only 2 km from some of the most beautiful beaches of the Maresme, Ocata and El Masnou (which has a port and the Club Náutico el Masnou).
The views from this area are made up of forest, sea, mountains and many varieties of birds.
Alella's agriculture is mainly based on wine production. There is an important production of wine, preferably white, with its own denomination of origin: Alella.
Ornamental flowers are also grown, mainly roses and carnations.
Around Alella there are interesting farmhouses, some dating back to the 14th century.
The town celebrates its main festival on 1 August, the feast of Saint Felix. In September, the grape harvest festival is held with wine samples and popular activities. On the second Sunday in June, the aplec de l'arròs takes place, a day on which a gastronomic rice competition is held.
In Alella there are prestigious schools and sports clubs, in the centre is the central market of Alella, next to the main square where the church is located and surrounded by local shops of all kinds.
