In order to accelerate its development in France, the Engel & Völkers Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexis Caquet, 48 years old, as Managing Director of Engel & Völkers in Paris. Alexis Caquet will join the workforce as of February 1, 2021.
Alexis Caquet began his career in real estate in 1993 as a rental advisor in L'île Saint-Louis in the heart of Paris, then as a sales advisor in the 7th arrondissement, before joining the Vaneau agency in 1998 where he successively held the positions of sales advisor, agency manager and associate manager. Following the buyout of the agency network by the Pelège Group in 2011, Alexis Caquet took over the commercial management of Vaneau. There, he was in charge of the reorganization of the teams, the implementation of a new strategy and the development of the Vaneau brand. The success of this reorganization, illustrated among other things by the 45% increase in the turnover of the Parisian agencies, led him to be promoted to the position of General Manager in 2016 and to amplify the development of the Vaneau brand in France and internationally.
These 27 years of experience, 23 of which were spent at Vaneau, have allowed him to acquire a complete and transversal know-how in the high-end real estate sector. Alexis Caquet says he is "very happy and proud to join Engel & Völkers, a group which, despite the current context, shows significant growth in 2020 (+14% in 2020 with a turnover of 937.4 million euros), a real desire for development and a real international dimension".
This recruitment marks a major strategic turning point for the group's development in France. After its establishment in 2016, and continuous year-on-year growth (including +5% in Paris in 2020 despite the health crisis).
