Salakos: Location and surroundings of this property

Location: Two villages that combine the mountain with the sea, Salakos lies at the foot of Profitis Ilias and Embonas at the foot of Attavyros on the North-western coast of the island of Rhodes, about 40-50 km from Rhodes town
Unique features: Both villages have few inhabitants, who are either occupied with agriculture or tourism. Salakos is renowned for its fine walnuts and natural springs and Embonas for its wine production and local tavernas specializing in local meats. Both villages retain their traditional element and Rhodian folklore but Salakos has archeological significance, dating from antiquity, same as Ialyssos, Lindos and Kamiros villages.
Accessibility: There is a regular bus from Rhodes town which connects these villages.
Investment potential: Since Salakos and Embonas are all year round locations and enjoy a cooler climate in the summer, they are considered an ideal area for relocation.
