A traditional stone house in the southern area of Tinos (Ktikados Village) promises relaxing moments under the Greek sun stairing at the endless Aegean Sea!
The main two-level house owns a mezzanine (office) and comprises 2 living rooms (one on the ground floor and one on the first floor), one dining room and two kitchen rooms (main and additional) on the ground floor. Also, it owns three bedrooms (double bedded), one on the ground floor and two on the first floor. All of them have comfortable private bathrooms (the house serves in total 10 person). The kitchens are fully equipped by "Miele" appliances.
The twin guest houses (ground floor and first floor) are situated as annexed to the main house but at the same time independent from it with an equipped kitchenette and a bathroom. The upper one has two verandas, the ground one is immersed in the garden.
The large swimming pool (42sqm) is composed of an outdoor open part and a covered part (by a cross vaulted stone ceiling). Its open part is shaded by a huge mulberry tree and communicates with the house through a corridor to the second kitchen. It is equipped with a shower, a built-in BBQ and a traditional stone-oven.
Ktikados Village is 5 km. from the port.
Tinos: Location and surroundings of this property
Located on the northern side of the Cyclades, Tinos is one of the most enchanting Greek Islands.
Unique features: Most villages were created in the medieval or Byzantine times. They have been kept unchanged and visiting them is for the traveller a short journey in history. Built in leeward slopes to protect residents from the wind, hidden or built high on the mountain to keep away pirates, they often resemble fortresses. The houses, built next to one another, “cut” the wind off and connect people. Whitewashed and simple, following the minimal Cyclades’ style, they reflect a purely authentic lifestyle of the Tinos village. The square, the fountain, the arcades, arches, alleys, the cobbled paths, marble stairs, all common elements of the villages, are craftworks and a case study for modern architects. Tinos gave birth to several major artists who founded modern Greek art. The world-renown artists with the masterpieces of sculpture and painting and unmarked marbles, builders, painters, woodcarvers, whose samples of high folk art are visible throughout the island contributed to Art becoming the main characteristic of Tinos.
The culinary wealth of Tinos and the systematic efforts for its dissemination have made it a top domestic gastronomic destination. Tinian wine, an integral part of the island’s gastronomic identity. Wine lovers can get to know the producers of Tinos, visit wineries and vineyards, perform wine tours, enjoy wine tastings and pairings with local products, and taste the wine labels at the plenty restaurants, wine bars, cafes of the island or supply them from retail stores.
Accessibility: The closest International Airport is in Mykonos airport. Upon your arrival at the airport of Mykonos, you need to reach the port (15 min drive) and embark on the ferry that transfers you to Tinos in 20 minutes. From Rafina port (15 min drive from Athens International Airport) the ferry transfers you to Tinos in 3 hours. Tinos is very well connected with Andros also all around the year.
