What you should know about this house

Amenities and special features of this house

Located in Tuffo, part of Cocconato, this property, free on three sides, offers wide multifunctional spaces that can be used for different types of activities, both tourism and commercial. It is divided into two units: the classic manor house (dating back to the 1700s) and the former stable with a feeding trough and barn (dating back to the 1900s).
The entrance through the main gate leads to a large courtyard with a barbecue area and a green island. From the courtyard, you can access the manor house which was renovated in 1998. It consists of an entrance, living room, kitchen, dining room with a fireplace, study, and a guest bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor, the sleeping area is composed of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Right outside, there is a large terrace with a view of the Monferrato hills, accessible from the bedroom and both bathrooms. The loft, one the top floor, consists of a spacious room with a view of the surrounding hills and it can potentially be converted into an additional living unit.
Moreover, the property has four cellars, including a crotin that has been preserved in its original state. Adjacent to the manor house, there is the former stable, barn, and a canopy. In front of the property, there are additional storage sheds and another porch. Completing the property, there is a plot of land of approximately 2000 square meters, located at the back of the building.

Cocconato: Location and surroundings of this property

Cocconato, located in the northern part of the Basso Monferrato, is surrounded by a luxuriant landscape and it is also known for its splendid landscape that sweeps up to the Alps. Due to its position, it enjoys a particularly favorable microclimate both in the summer and in the winter months and therefore it is also called "The Riviera of the Monferrato". The town's origins date back to Roman times, but perhaps an ancient Ligurian settlement already existed, as the legendary city of Marcellina at the valley’s end, testified. The inhabitants then left the valley to take refuge on the hill, around the castle of the Radicati counts. The counts created a small autonomous state which enjoyed privileges until the end of the 16th century, also obtaining the right to mint coins. The richness of the medieval period relives every year in September with the reenactment of the Medieval Fair and the Palio degli Asini. Renowned food and wine center, it offers tasty traditional Piedmontese recipes. Typical products are Cocconato robiola cheese and raw ham. We remember the excellent red wines, such as Barbera, Barbera d’Asti and Freisa. The Cocco Wine event is dedicated to local wines every year on the first weekend of September with the presence of the best producers in the area
