The town of Pianello del Lario is located about 10 km north of the town of Menaggio and extends from the slopes of Monte Bregagno to the shores of Lake Como. In the centre of Pianello del Lario there is a spacious bathing beach, several typical restaurants right on the lake, a tennis court, bars, grocery shops, banks and a post office. An attractive three-kilometre-long footpath has recently been completed along the lakefront, which also passes through the neighbouring villages and offers a splendid panorama.
