Nestled in a beautiful chestnut grove on one of the slopes of Monte Amiata, we find this farm specializing in tourist accommodation and chestnut harvesting as well as the production of olive oil. The farm consists of a charming residential structure, made of original 17th-century stone with salvaged elements of great artistic value, and a multi-purpose space suitable for hosting yoga courses or other holistic disciplines with a ceramic lab.
It also has two fully equipped guesthouses. Especially developed is the Glamping activity with 3 piles equipped with spacious, elegantly furnished tents and private bathrooms. The outdoor area provides wide spaces under a cozy porch and pools surrounded by the unspoilt nature of Maremma.
The main house is on three levels: on the ground floor we find the entrance, living room and studio, two bedrooms with walk-in wardrobe and bathroom. On the first floor we have a bedroom with a private bathroom, while on the ground floor, with access also from the back garden, there is a spacious kitchen with fireplace and dining area. We notice particular attention for energy saving, with a 6 KW photovoltaic system assisting the underfloor heating system powered by a wood boiler and a solar thermal system for the production of hot water.
About 28 ha of land surrounds the property. In addition to a beautiful forest, there is a chestnut grove with some of the longest-lived chestnut trees in the area and a large olive grove. The garden is designed by a well-known Dutch architect and features numerous varieties of rare and indigenous plants, as well as terracotta works by a famous Sicilian sculptor.
The farm is located in the countryside of Santa Fiora, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, already an Orange Flag, and enjoys a superb panoramic view along Fiora valley to the summit of Mount Amiata.
It is only 25 km from Terme di Saturnia and the villages of Sorano, Sovana and Pitigliano, while the summit of Monte Amiata with its ski facilities can be reached in only twenty minutes by car.
The distance from the main towns of Santa Fiora and Castell'Azzara is a few kilometers, while it is about 70 km from Grosseto and 60 km from Lake Bolsena and Viterbo. Easily reachable from Orvieto (60 km) both from the autostrada del sole and from the railway line that connects Rome with Florence-Milan.
