The town centre of Dervio is about 2 km away. Dervio is located on the north-eastern shore of Lake Como, about 8 km (about 15 minutes) from the larger Varenna and about 29 km (about 24 minutes) from the city of Lecco.
There are several bathing areas; from the harbour, Como shipping companies offer year-round ferry connections to other towns on the lake.
The lake offers a wide range of water sports, as does the hinterland with hiking, trekking and mountain biking tours. For trekking enthusiasts, the surrounding mountains offer suggestive itineraries and marked trails, including the famous Sentiero del Viandante.
The city of Como is about 59 km (about one hour) away.
The Lombard metropolis of Milan with its international airports Malpensa and Linate can be reached by car in about 1.5 hours (approx. 93 km), the Swiss city of Lugano with its regional airport in about 1.5 hours (approx. 40.5 km).
The ski resorts of St. Moritz (CH), Madesimo, Bormio and Livigno (Italy) are about 1.5 - 2.5 hours away by car.
