Marble stairs with cast-iron railings lead to the main floor and here a succession of representative rooms with vaulted ceilings and frescoes in delicate colors and motifs, until you reach the yellow living room and then the red living room precisely because of the shades of the frescoes. Authentic and beautiful cement tiles, black and, in other rooms, red checkerboard floors, balconies and terraces all the way to the solar pavement from where there is a view that reaches far into the distance. Certainly the property needs renovation work but, in general, the condition is very good. Ideal for a private residence or for several private residences as well as to make a splendid dwelling intended for receptivity, perhaps taking advantage of the benefits that the Puglia Region allocates to these initiatives.

Maglie is the beating heart and thus one of the most important towns of the Salento peninsula, centrally located between the capital Lecce and the southernmost point of Salento, Santa Maria di Leuca. Its proximity to Otranto then, reachable in about 15 minutes, makes the town the perfect destination.

In fact, Maglie presents a multitude of artisan workshops and stores in which to get lost and learn about the culture of the lower Salento. Precisely in honor of the area's food and wine and artisan culture, the Mercatino del gusto (Taste Market) takes place in Maglie every year, an event that attracts thousands of visitors.
The town features numerous churches and historical monuments made of the famous Lecce Baroque stone, attracting visitors from all over the world and thus building a cultural center for intellectual activities. Already in the past it was one of the richest cities in the peninsula, as is evident thanks also to the beauty of the historic palaces belonging to ancient noble families, with courtyards, gardens and frescoed reception rooms.
Important monuments of the architectural heritage include, among others, the Cathedral of Maglie with its magnificent bell tower, Villa Tamborrino immersed in a fairy-tale park, Palazzo Arabesco Aprile and Palazzo Capece, now home to one of the most renowned high schools in the province.
Thanks to prehistoric finds, it is certain that Maglie has been inhabited since the Iron Age, while especially the Capece family played an important role in the last years of Maglie's history.
