Leaving the iconic St. Mark's Square behind, we make our way towards the sumptuous church of San Giorgio dei Greci, and on our way we cannot help but stop and admire the fascinating Palazzo Priuli, which, with its elegant four-light and mullioned windows with two lights, once framed by Palma il Vecchio's frescoes, is a true jewel among Venice's period residences.
It is right inside that we proceed to discover the most suggestive part of the historic palace, namely the part overlooking the confluence of two typical canals, that of S. Provolo and that of S. Severo, where gondolas come and go, accompanied by the singing of cheerful gondoliers.
