What you should know about this house

Amenities and special features of this house

The luxury! It’s the atmosphere that reigns in "Villa Pozzetti".
Historic building of high architectural value with prominent Liberty era characters. The building dates back to two distinct historical periods, the first in 1915 concerning the construction of the south side; the second in 1932 with the expansion to the north. Following this construction, the building has not undergone subsequent changes, until the recent restoration in 2014.
Upon entering the Villa, we are greeted by the wonderful facades, coffee-colored, finely decorated with bas-reliefs that adorn the corners of the building and the perimeter of the openings depicting angels and floral decorations, projecting stringcourses that adhere well to the Liberty style of the early twentieth century and to the sumptuous balcony supported by stone modillions and protected by wrought iron railings.
The Villa is spread over two independent housing units: the first unit is composed of: on the ground floor of a large living room, kitchen, a small study and a bedroom; going up to the upper floor, through a stone staircase, with iron handrail, we access the second real estate unit consisting of a large dining room with fireplace and vault frescoed by the artist Giulio Boetto, a prominent exponent in the Saluzzo area, kitchen, sitting room also with frescoed vault, three bedrooms, the master bedroom with access to the facade balcony and vaulted and frescoed ceiling, two bathrooms and a large terrace with a bas-relief bearing the initials of the client / artist and the year of expansion, as well as a fresco on the upper window.
Porphyry courtyard of about 290 square meters, with parking spaces, as well as a garage with mechanized lift for two vehicles.

Saluzzo: Location and surroundings of this property

Seat of the Monviso Natural Park and capital of the Marquisate, Saluzzo is a small town of great historical and artistic value nestled in the hills in the province of Cuneo and dominated by the Monviso Massif. Saluzzo embraces a vast territory, giving the entrance to the Po Valley in the Province of Cuneo, the valley that leads to the Monviso and the sources of the Po river. A little further south, Saluzzo also gives the entrance to the Val Varaita. From a historical and cultural point of view, Saluzzo represents a typical example of medieval Piedmontese architecture, preserving, in the circuit of the ancient walls, the characteristics of different eras. Capital for four centuries of an independent marquisate, the numerous testimonies of its noble and rich past confirm its role as a city of art.
Saluzzo has given birth to many cebrities, including the writer Silvio Pellico and the typographer Giovanni Battista Bodoni, and more recently, General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa.
Saluzzo looks like a typically fourteenth-century hilltop village: small cobbled streets, churches and elegant noble palaces with their gardens populate the historic center. Of considerable interest in the inhabited center are the Cathedral, Castile, with the new multimedia installations of the Prison Memory, Casa Cavassa and the Church of San Giovanni, the ancient Monastery of the Annunziata, in the heart of the medieval historic center. Not only architecture, music, museums and even guided walks to discover every suggestive corner of Saluzzo. Villa Bricherasio houses an immense Botanical Garden, a real work of art. Not to be missed is a visit to the birthplace of Silvio Pellico, which has now become a museum.
