Entracque: Location and surroundings of this property

Entracque is a small town in the upper Gesso valley of particular environmental interest within the Natural Park of the Maritime Alps, the largest protected area in Piedmont. Once a hunting reserve of the kings of the House of Savoy, today this enchanted corner of the mountain guards the southernmost glaciers of the Alps, countless alpine lakes and a treasure of animal and plant biodiversity in the shadow of its severe peaks. The past of Entracque relives in the buildings (typical mountain houses in wood and stone), in the mule tracks, in the fountains; its history is manifested in documents and photographs and the mountains themselves tell stories of men who have inhabited this valley since a decidedly remote past. The territory offers numerous opportunities to experience a typical outdoor holiday, able to satisfy sportsmen, families, bikers, hikers or simple lovers of the relaxing alpine atmosphere, or to get involved in the charm of fishing and its slow rhythms.
Of particular interest, the Chiotas lake - artificial basin created between the seventies and the early eighties; with the underlying Lago della Piastra it is used for the production of electricity.
The Enel Green Power Information Center, located at the "L. Einaudi" hydroelectric plant in Entracque, is open to visitors to discover all the secrets of the Valle Gesso dams and the operation of the largest pumped hydroelectric plant in Italy. Entracque offers several typical products. The main one is the Entracque potato, characterized by a particular flavor, from which the tasty cuiette, typical gnocchi are born. Also renowned in the area are various cheeses, honey and bread ... all to be tasted and enjoyed.

Commission Details

The mediation assignment with our agency and/or our Real Estate agents is formalized with the signing of an agreement or with the use of the services listed in our brochure of services in our Real Estate listings and related clauses.
