What you should know about this house

Amenities and special features of this house

Via Savoia in Galatone is the street of historic buildings from the late 19th century. Buildings that have made the history of the city. The leader of this series of beauties is Palazzo Caputo. It is free on four sides and only because of its 'adjacency to its street companions, it does not occupy an entire block. It has an imposing, unique and panoramic view of St. Anthony Square and the historic center. It is the most visible property to anyone passing within a radius of 200m, either on foot or by car, the only one of its peers with such a large garden (1000sqm).
It is on three levels and despite its homogeneous aesthetics conforming to the palaces of the period, it has major construction differences. The cellars, two barrel-vaulted rooms of about 60 square meters in all, in which it is still possible to inspect the foundations integrated with the stone outcropping.
The ground floor, consisting of a stable, a tool shed, three storage rooms, three workshop rooms, totaling about 350 sqm and an entrance hall.
The second floor, stately, with cement floors still intact, decorations on the walls, measures about 350 sqm. It is divided between a large entrance hall, four large rooms overlooking the square, a hallway, a kitchen room, two living rooms and other adjoining rooms.
Finally, a 50-square-meter terrace overlooking the property's garden and the rooftop terrace, with a full view of the city, the historic center, the churches and the square.
It is located on the road that from Via Lecce becomes Via Gallipoli and connects the two cities directly.
It lends itself to various uses ranging from tourism to commercial and services.
It needs to be completely renovated, but because of its condition and size, it is a candidate to be one of the few properties compatible with MiniPia.

Galatone: Location and surroundings of this property

Leaving Lecce, entering the Salento countryside, we travel roads with a southern flavor; vineyards, stone walls, pajare, red-earth countryside.
Halfway between Lecce and Gallipoli, Galatone is the perfect place to soak up the beauty of Salento's cities of art.
In just a few minutes we discover the magnificent town of Gallipoli, stroll through the Baroque-art streets of Nardò, dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian coast, and reach the sheer cliffs of the Capo.
Galatone is not only beauty and culture but also food and wine tradition celebrated by some of the best-loved restaurants throughout the province.
A relaxed lifestyle that offers culture, art, sea and countryside...a place easy to find but hard to leave.
Galatone's history is ancient, with traces dating back to Paleolithic times, known today for its late Renaissance and Baroque churches, its "court" buildings and its 19th-century palaces.
The city's original defensive function, the vestiges of which are evidenced by the Fulcignano Castle and the monumental gate San Sebastiano, stems from its strategic location and easy access from all over the peninsula.
