Trento: Location and surroundings of this property

Mattarello is a hamlet of the municipality of Trento, located 7 km south of the city and 12km from Rovereto. The property is located in a quiet area and close to the main services. The area is served by public transport and nearby are the kindergarten, primary and secondary.
The oldest part of the village appears to be divided into two distinct nuclei: the lower one, gathered near the church and along the ancient road connecting Trento-Rovereto, and the more upstream, which is concentrated south of the medieval Castle of the Torre Franca. Near the town there are the Trento Airport and the Aeronautical Museum, both dedicated to Gianni Caproni. Near the village there is the fortified complex of Mattarello, an Austro-Hungarian structure formed by three fortifications: low, medium (in Doss Ròcol) and high (in Zampetta) that served for the defense of Trento during the Great War that devenuta park area for the town.
