La MORRA: Location and surroundings of this property
Located atop a hill at about 500 meters above sea level and just a few kilometers from Alba, La Morra is a small gem nestled in the heart of the Langhe region, whose fame has crossed national borders and is now known worldwide. Since 2014, La Morra has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the "Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont Langhe-Roero and Monferrato" site. The velvety hills, cobblestone streets, and irregular roofs, arranged according to the ancient medieval layout, would be enough to make La Morra a picturesque town, a guardian of timeless traditions and architectural beauty.
But the town offers much more: the so-called "red gold." All around the hills, precious grapevines are cultivated, with the most renowned being Nebbiolo, from which Barolo and Nebbiolo d'Alba wines are produced. These precious grapes, cultivated with wisdom, love, and expertise, give rise to a wine known throughout the world.
Its 18th-century bell tower, built with the remains of the castle demolished in the 16th century, stands just over 30 meters tall and has a simple square structure. When you reach the famous "Belvedere," you can admire the surrounding panorama, 360 degrees of pure beauty.
In every street of the village, you'll find typical wineries and restaurants where you can taste not only the famous wine but also the exquisite local products. Hiking enthusiasts can explore a network of 7 trails, whose paths not only lead visitors near the great vineyards but also allow them to discover small hamlets of La Morra, votive shrines, forests, and panoramic viewpoints.
