Oxana Vergne heads new “Charter Management” department

This year, Engel & Völkers Yachting introduced a new department dedicated to Charter Management. A Charter Manager acts as the owner’s agent to market their yacht to the international network. They form the interface between all parties involved: the yacht owner, captain and broker representing the charterers. This support service is also aimed at ensuring that the charter calendar is as fully reserved as possible for those periods in which a yacht is available. This new department is headed by Oxana Vergne. She already has more than 10-years’ experience operating successfully in the yachting sector.

Charter now more popular than ever

In addition to the brokerage and charter of yachts, the range of services provided by Engel & Völkers Yachting also includes the organisation of new yacht constructions and refits, as well as independent consultancy. The service provider is seeing growing demand from interested charter clients, particularly in the Mediterranean region. “We are noticing here too that charter clients are becoming younger and younger,” said Anissa Mediouni, Managing Director of Engel & Völkers Yachting, adding: “The number of people chartering a yacht for the first time is also on the rise.” With its four business divisions Residential, Commercial, Aviation and Yachting, Engel & Völkers presides over a large network outside of the traditional yachting industry. This places the company in an excellent position to inspire new clients to experience the yachting lifestyle.
