Location: Gyzi, belongs to the 7th sub department of Athens’ Municipal and is located between Polygono, Ampelokipi and Neapoli, only 2km far from Athens city center. Unique features: Gyzi was named around 1925 after famous painter Nikolaos Gyzis and the area was rapidly built during 1960s -1970s. Even though it is densely populated, Finopoulou Hill, Pedio Areos park and Protomagias Square, provide urban green spaces for leisure. Many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and a variety of shops are located at the center of Gyzi, while 1,5km far is Panellinios, one of Athens’ biggest athletic complexes.
