Description
After three years of design and four years of construction, an ancient mountain farmhouse has been reborn as an extraordinary chalet of over 800 sq m, entirely south-facing, where light and landscape become an integral part of the spaces thanks to large windows that let nature into every room. This is not simply a renovation, but a vision turned into reality, where true luxury is not ostentation but absolute authenticity: the expert, almost reverential recovery of the original materials—worked and reinterpreted with rare care—makes every detail unique and unrepeatable.
Here, time can be felt in the surfaces: in the brushed old wood that tells stories; in the local stones and wrought iron that preserve the soul of the original farmhouse; in the floorboards selected one by one, still marked by the hobnailed boots of the past. The load-bearing structure—modern and earthquake-resistant, in reinforced concrete and steel—remains invisible, concealed behind warm wooden paneling that restores intimacy and aesthetic continuity. Corridors with groin vaults guide guests along an evocative route between the main farmhouse and the smaller outbuilding, creating a harmonious connection between past and present.
The chalet accommodates up to 19–20 guests in addition to staff and a private chef, offering generous yet at the same time snug and personal spaces. The rooms, all different from one another, are small worlds to discover: some with mezzanines and Japanese futons, others enhanced by antique furnishings, works of art, private terraces or intimate sitting areas. The Main Suite is an experience within an experience, with a fireplace, dual exposure, a bathtub overlooking nature and a large shower in Cansiglio stone, rich in fossils, making contact with the elements even more profound.
The common areas are designed for sharing and wonder: a large convivial hall welcomes up to twenty diners, with underfloor heating and a concealed kitchen-living area dominated by a spectacular central grill with telescopic hood. The wood-burning stoves scattered between living room and bedrooms spread an authentic warmth—the real kind—that smells of the mountains. And then there is one of the chalet’s most surprising and poetic spaces: the cinema room, clad in hay and flowers, where the scent of natural materials and illuminated beams evoke the old barn, turning every screening into an immersive, unforgettable sensory experience.
Outside, nature reigns supreme over 20,000 sq m of pasture and 4,000 sq m of woodland, a private oasis where silence is absolute and life flows to the rhythms of the mountains. The outdoor hot tub, integrated into the landscape and facing the starry sky, becomes a ritual of pure wellbeing, complemented by an outdoor shower immersed in nature and by two distinct outdoor setups dedicated to conviviality—perfect for breakfasts at dawn and dinners at sunset with a barbecue area.
The wellness area, about 150 sq m on the ground floor of the farmhouse—what was once the old stable—completes the experience with two pools, sauna, Turkish bath, emotional shower, outdoor hot tub, relaxation area and changing rooms, offering a perfect refuge after a day in nature. In terms of comfort and technology, the chalet achieves A3 energy class and is equipped with an air recirculation system, photovoltaic system and Wi‑Fi, while warm, indirect lighting, perfectly integrated into the wood, enhances every room, creating intimate, enveloping atmospheres.
The layout reflects a perfect balance between functionality and harmony between the main farmhouse and the smaller outbuilding, internally connected. The main farmhouse comprises a ground floor entirely dedicated to the wellness area, a first floor with living room, ski room, kitchen and dining room, and a second floor housing three suites with different sleeping configurations and a laundry room; the same suites are enhanced by three mezzanines that expand the spaces and the living experience. The smaller outbuilding completes the property with a ground floor hosting a suite and the evocative cinema room, and a first floor with an additional large suite.
Accessible via a private road, by helicopter, or even by sled and off-piste skis down to the village, and awarded for three consecutive years at the World Ski Awards as Italy’s best ski chalet, this place embodies a rare and precious concept of Alpine luxury, where every choice—from reclaimed materials to spatial design, to sensory experiences such as the hay cinema—tells a single truth: the real privilege is to live the mountains in their most authentic, profound and extraordinarily human form.

Location: Arabba, Veneto
In the heart of Arabba, an authentic gem of the Dolomites, the chalet enjoys a prime location within the Dolomiti Superski area and along the famed Sellaronda circuit, from which the lifts lead seamlessly toward Marmolada and the entire ski region, offering a ski-in/ski-out experience that allows you to set off and return home directly on skis, albeit with off-piste skis and optimal snow conditions. In winter, this place becomes the ideal starting point to fully enjoy the snow, with perfectly connected slopes and breathtaking descents, while in summer the landscape turns into a vibrant, restorative setting that invites panoramic hikes, woodland walks, snowshoeing among high-altitude mountain huts, and MTB tours along routes immersed in the most unspoiled nature.
The chalet is surrounded by pristine alpine scenery, where the mountain silence is broken only by the natural sounds of the forest and where, especially in the quietest hours of the day, it is possible to spot graceful deer crossing the clearings or curious foxes moving among the trees, witnesses to an ecosystem that remains intact and precious. Making the experience even more exclusive is the option of reaching the property by helicopter, a solution that combines practicality with dramatic appeal, allowing quick arrivals and departures with spectacular views over the Dolomites. Set in one of the most iconic settings in the Alps and recognized at the World Ski Awards as Italy’s Best Ski Chalet, this retreat embodies a perfect balance of elegance, accessibility, and nature in every season.
