Retreat of Silence

We reach our property in the quiet Castello district, a few steps from the Arsenale and Via Garibaldi, in a charming courtyard where time seems to stand still. Climbing the stone stairs to the second floor, we enter the bright flat, which immediately captivates us with its charming view over the rooftops of Venice. We turn left into the first bedroom, where tranquillity meets inspiration: sunlight from the window illuminates an intimate single room with a desk and shelves full of books. We continue to the second door on the left where we find a cosy double bedroom: the two windows overlook the Cortile del Silenzio and a lovely view over the rooftops of Venice. We cross the threshold to the living area, an open space with a charming kitchenette - here, from the window we can enjoy a splendid view of the courtyard - and a cosy sitting room where the walls are decorated with black and white portraits that lend dynamism to the space, and seem to fill it with energy and movement. On the right wall of the living room, wooden stairs invite and lead us to a comfortable mezzanine, embellished by the ancient exposed beams and illuminated by the sunlight coming in through the roof window: a perfect corner to enjoy an unobstructed view of Venice's starry sky during summer nights. The property is available for transitory contracts of a maximum of 18 months - not available for subletting and for students.
