The property, fully furnished and ready for use, stands out for the variety of housing solutions—ideal both for tourist hospitality and for income investment: three one-bedroom units, three two-bedroom units, three large two-bedroom units, and two three-bedroom units. The apartments were designed with attention to detail, enhancing comfort and ensuring welcoming, bright, functional spaces. Location: Castelnuovo Calcea, Piedmont
The extraordinary landscape of hills and vineyards that meets the visitor’s eye is one of Castelnuovo Calcea’s finest attractions. For centuries it was the “gateway” to the Belbo Valley, the Nizza Monferrato area, and the Acqui Terme district. The name derives from Castrum Novum (Castelnuovo), while Calcea may come from calceus (an area of lime quarries). The earliest settlement is attributed to the Ligurians. In 1154 it suffered Frederick Barbarossa’s occupation and was destroyed. It then came under the Commune of Asti and in 1290 became a fief of the Guttuari, the Marquises of Montferrat, and the Visconti. The historic center is marked by a beautiful panoramic square overlooking the Town Hall and the evocative Baroque parish church of Santo Stefano, one of the best-preserved Baroque churches in the Province of Asti. The remains of the castle, destroyed in 1631, have recently been restored. In its shadow an ample, striking terraced courtyard has been created, the stage for summer events, offering a splendid view over Upper Montferrat. The area’s excellent red wines pair with traditional Piedmontese recipes. DOC wines are produced here, including Barbera d’Asti, Barbera del Piemonte, and Grignolino d’Asti. Winding through the vineyards is the Orme su la Court Park trail, with sculptures and installations by major artists such as Lele Luzzati. Just 10 minutes from the town of Nizza Monferrato, which offers all services, it is the perfect starting point for visiting Asti (20 minutes), Alba (30 minutes), and all of Montferrat. Turin is one hour away; Milan and Genoa are 1.5 hours away.
