The apartment is located in the quiet and popular residential area of Telfs, on Vinzenz-Gredler-Straße. The town center, shops, doctors, and local recreation areas are all within walking distance. The motorway connection and the proximity to Innsbruck also make the location attractive for commuters. After Innsbruck and Kufstein, Telfs is the third-largest town in the Austrian province of Tyrol. With its 15,000 inhabitants, the municipality is the most populous in the upper Inn Valley. It comprises eleven widely scattered villages. For example, Wildmoos, with its renowned golf course, is located on the Seefeld Plateau, just 20 kilometers from the center of Telfs. Telfs' History: Telfs's more recent history is reflected in its former factory buildings from the 19th century. The town was known for its textile industry and its high proportion of workers from Yugoslavia and Turkey. After the economic decline of this industry, tourism increasingly took center stage. Today, over 150 shops characterize the town. Cultural Center: Telfs' Cultural Center enjoys an excellent reputation beyond the region. Every year since 1981, the Tyrolean Folk Plays have been held here in July and August. They are dedicated to the works of local poet and playwright Felix Mitterer, among others, and feature his premieres. The venues vary, as they are adapted to the respective production. The appeal of these performances lies, among other things, in the interaction between professional actors and amateurs. The sights: A stroll through Telfs, starting from the town hall, is captivating, with the numerous richly decorated houses. The residents are particularly proud of their Noaflhaus cultural center, which houses a carnival and local history museum and where traces of early settlement can be seen. One of the region's gems is the Franciscan monastery from the early 18th century. It serves as a place of spiritual contemplation for members of the order and lay people. The Peace Bell in the Mösern district rings daily at 5 p.m. for peace and good neighborliness. Also worth seeing is the Telfs Deanery Church, dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul. The surrounding area of Telfs: Telfs lies at the foot of the Hoher Munde mountain, which, at 2,662 meters, towers over the Mieming chain. Telfs is a starting point for extensive hikes through a fascinating Alpine landscape. Cycling and mountain biking trails lead into the region, and on hot summer days, refreshing dips in Lake Möser or the Mieming bathing lake beckon.
