The city of Numana rises on the southern slopes of Mount Conero and is located within the namesake National Park (from the toponym "Komeros" which identifies the strawberry tree, a shrub that largely characterizes the arboreal and floral heritage of the area), in the part of the Riviera of the Marche Region that takes its name from its imposing presence. Mount Conero is the only rocky promontory on the Adriatic coast, from Trieste to the Gargano in Puglia, where nature is intact and unspoiled, albeit a witness to one of the rare examples of Mediterranean scrub in the national territory. For many years now, Numana, from a humble fishing village, has transformed into a very modern tourist center, while maintaining a good balance with the historic center and its artistic and cultural wealth, with relics of the Picene civilization preserved in a city museum called Antiquarium. The historic center is located on top of a cliff overlooking the sea and can be defined as almost continuous with the nearby town of Sirolo, practically a twin, with which it shares the nickname "Pearl of the Adriatic." The city, divided between the ancient upper part and the lively lower area, is also equipped with a tourist port and has been awarded the well-known Blue Flag for many years for the quality of its waters and the surrounding natural context, as well as for the hospitality and reception services of its tourist facilities. Along the coast, the landscape varies between suggestive cliffs north of the small port, hidden beaches among coves, and a vast fine gravel beach towards the hamlet of Marcelli, in the direction of Porto Recanati. From the gardens and the terrace of the tower, the gaze is lost in a breathtaking panorama that embraces the entire coastline. Behind the city, which is a few kilometers from the Regional Capital Ancona and the regional airport "Raffaello Sanzio" of Falconara Marittima, thus being easily reachable from all its national and international destinations, one can observe cultivated fields and Mediterranean scrub creating a suggestive frame, with the majestic Mount Conero as a backdrop. Ultimately, an ideal environment where to invest one's resources, choosing it as a main home or as a holiday house.
