Casa Bice: timeless charm in Iditella.

Panarea, the smallest of the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is certainly the most exclusive among them, often compared to the Capri of the 1950s/60s. A truly magical island with which one falls madly in love, an ideal place for all those who want to live in close contact with such overwhelming nature and far from everything! Considered by many enthusiasts to be one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean, it was already a destination in past centuries for famous and illustrious travellers such as Alexandre Dumas father and Archduke Louis Salvador of Austria, hence their precious travel diaries. The island is divided into three villages, St. Peter, Ditella and Drautto, which are connected by small roads that cannot be travelled on because cars cannot land on the island. Artificial lighting only reaches the dwellings, deliberately leaving the narrow streets dark, thus maintaining the magical and unique atmosphere of the island with its starry skies and the reflection of the moon on the white houses. The sea is easily accessible with its beautiful crystal-clear waters and countless bays surrounding the entire island. The beautiful Mediterranean vegetation with its scents of jasmine and orange blossom, lush with prickly pears, strawberry trees, broom and olive trees induces us to magnificent walks to the bay of Cala Junco, to Calcara and up to the highest peak, Punta Corvo (420 m), from where an incredible 360 degree view of the entire Aeolian archipelago can be enjoyed.
