Zell am See is a fascinating town in the Austrian region of Pinzgau in the province of Salzburg. It lies on the shores of Lake Zell and is surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Hohe Tauern. The nearest international airport is in Salzburg and is about an hour's drive away.
