Riscone lies on a range of hills above the town of Brunico, directly at the foot of the Plan de Corones ski and hiking area which is crowned by the Concordia bell, and a viewing platform at the summit. In winter there is a lot of activity - a total of 110 km of perfectly prepared pistes and 32 modern lifts make skiing and snowboarding a winter delight. The summit is also home to a Messner Mountain Museum and the newly opened Lumen Museum of Mountain Photography, with the connected top restaurant Alpinn, where star chef Norbert Niederkofler presents newly interpreted regional Alpine cuisine in a unique panoramic setting. Across the meadows from Reischach up to the neighboring village of Stefansdorf and back there is also a cross-country ski trail.
