Mijas Pueblo is the beautiful center of the sprawling municipality of Mijas, located more than 400 meters above sea level and approximately 10 km from the coast. The Mijas Pueblo area lies to the north of the municipality, bordering the districts of Ojén, Alhaurín el Grande, Alhaurín de la Torre, Benalmádena, and Fuengirola. The town center of Mijas Pueblo is one of the jewels of the Costa del Sol, attracting foreigners, artists, and writers who have made it their home for many years.
