Asso, a charming and very ancient village of medieval paleo-Christian origin, is the capital of Vallassina equidistant from the two branches of Lake Como, between Como and Lecco, of Manzonian memory. Its location is privileged as it is ten minutes from Erba and half an hour from Como, Lecco, and Bellagio, the latter defined as the pearl of Lake Como. Asso is well-served using transport that connects it to Milan, Como, and Lecco. It is well-connected to Milan via the famous “Vallassina” highway. Malpensa, Orio al Serio, and Linate airports are reachable in about an hour. Not far away, to the delight of ski lovers, we find Bobbio and Artavaggio, renowned winter ski resorts. Also, for lovers of bathing and water sports, Asso is located in an area rich in lakes such as Lario, Segrino, and Lake Pusiano, which gave birth to the famous rowing center.
