Location: Marentino, Piedmont

Marentino is a municipality in the province of Turin, located just 23 km from the city and a short distance from the first hills of the Monferrato region. Of particular interest is the Marentino Honey Fair, held every year on the last Sunday of September. The event celebrates honey and local products, featuring exhibitions and sales of artisanal and agri-food creations. The program also includes tastings, educational workshops, and moments of entertainment. Marentino is composed by three ancient villages: Marentino, Avuglione, and Vernone. The town hall is housed in the former confraternal church of San Carlo Borromeo, a Baroque-style building dating back to the 17th century, distinguished by its charming triangular bell tower. An interesting curiosity: since 2005, the walls of many houses in the town have been decorated with original murals depicting visual riddles and rebuses to be solved. There are currently about 20 works, created by various artists from all over Italy, which together form a truly unique and visually striking open-air gallery.
