Description

The amazing sea view is the distinctive element of this property. The sea can be admired from a window in the entrance-living room, from two windows in the kitchen, which is connected to the living room, from the front door on the southwest side, from the windows of the three bedrooms, and even from one of the two bathrooms. The sea can be admired in all its grandeur from the veranda, which continues with a large wooden porch; from the garden on the south side, from where boats from Leuca can be seen sailing up to the inlet of San Gregorio and fishing boats heading to the nearby port of Torre Vado. The sea can be seen from the vegetable garden on the north side, towards Pescoluse, with the most desired stretches of sand in Salento; from the driveway, with automatic gate; You can feel the sea even closer by stepping on the solar area of the dependance, divided into two small apartments, each with a kitchen, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. Finally, the sea becomes bursting as you climb the steps of the spiral staircase leading onto the solar area of the main building, where the view becomes memorable. Not forgetting that there are 365 sunsets a year in that direction. The buildings date from the mid-1980s and have since been condoned. They need an overhaul of the interior spaces, a replanning of the facilities, according to the intended use of this corner of paradise (the regular-shaped land corners two streets) and a review of the interior heights (only the outbuilding). It is an initial effort that is amply repaid by the profound pleasure of living in this quiet place (the area can be reached from the coastal road by taking a few hairpin bends, mostly used by residents) and well connected to the nearby resorts, now known everywhere. The house is clad with exposed stone.

Location: Morciano di Leuca, Apulia

Living in Morciano di Leuca is simple and healthy. It is like being part of a widespread community, made up of neighborhoods, interspersed with large gardens cultivated like vegetable gardens. Its extension, added to that of the neighboring municipalities, Salve, Patù, Castrignano del Capo and Alessano is equal to the extension of the municipality of Ugento alone. Morciano's population is a little over three thousand and with its neighbors, it comes to twenty thousand. These numbers are objectively modest. Yet in this area are charm, attractions and all the rurality of Mediterranean Italy concentrated. It is no coincidence that there is a union of Capo di Leuca municipalities that enhances cultural and administrative aspects of common interest. The municipality of Morciano alone has two hamlets: Barbarano and Torre Vado. Despite its size, Barbarano manages to convey all the rural and ancient flavor. The Capece tower towers in the center and around it courtyards and old houses close in an embrace. People live with simplicity, and the inhabitants read wonder and happiness in the eyes of travelers and foreigners who have decided to live in these places. Torre Vado can boast a dash of extra nightlife during the summer. Just the right measure not to completely lose touch with the rest of the world. The character, however, remains that of a fishing locality, where it is possible to take a boat to visit the caves of Santa Maria di Leuca, or take a walk along the renovated and scenic waterfront, along with the small port area where the tower that gives the locality its name soars. Together with the neighboring resorts of Posto Vecchio (Salve) and Felloniche (Patù) they make up a single, south-facing waterfront with unparalleled water and a temperature that almost never drops below 15 degrees in winter.
